The FIV/FeLV test strip uses two specific proteins in FIV/FeLV respectively to detect by the principle of sandwich method. One of the specific proteins is conjugated with colloidal gold particle labeling, and the other is specifically unilaterally coated on the nitrocellulose membrane (NC membrane). If FIV is present, it will first bind to the gold-labeled antibody to form an antigen-antibody complex. The complex is chromatographed along the NC membrane. When it flows through the test line (T), the antigen-antibody complex binds to the coated antibody at the FIV T line, forming a chromogenic strip at the FIV T line; otherwise, the FIV T line does not develop color. The FIV control line (C line) develops color regardless of the presence of FIV. If FeLV is present, it will first bind to the gold-labeled antibody to form an antigen-antibody complex. The complex is chromatographed along the NC membrane. When it flows through the test line (T), the antigen-antibody complex binds to the coated antibody at the FeLV T line, forming a chromogenic strip at the FeLV T line; otherwise, the FeLV T line does not develop color. The FeLV control line (C line) develops color regardless of the presence of FeLV.
